Our approach is designed around musicians playing together. The space supports the journey from rehearsal to recording, which means your band can develop arrangements, identify weak points and prepare the material before committing to a session.
Recording enquiries may include:
- capturing a band rehearsal for review;
- creating a demo to share with venues or collaborators;
- developing an original song or arrangement;
- recording performance-ready material after structured rehearsals; or
- documenting progress as a Band Factory line-up develops.
Prepare before you press record
A good recording starts before the session. Agree on the arrangement, tempo, endings and key parts. Check instruments, cables and any personal equipment your band relies on. If you use in-ear monitors, make sure every member has a reliable seal and knows the monitor mix they need.
When you enquire, include the number of musicians, instruments, number of songs, preferred dates and what you want the finished material to be used for. We will confirm whether Band Factory is the right fit and what the next step should be.
From rehearsal room to recording session
Bands can begin in our Mount Maunganui rehearsal room, tighten the set, then plan a recording session when the material is ready. This creates a more useful result than treating recording as a substitute for preparation.
